The C.R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. is an independent, family owned funeral home located in the upper section of Historical Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The funeral home, located at 821 West Broad Street, Quakertown, PA 18951 was established in 1926 by the late Clarence R. Strunk, a third generation funeral director. Clarence R. Strunk left the family funeral home in Trumbauersville, PA., and moved across town to Quakertown and opened The Clarence R. Strunk Funeral Home, at its present location.
Mr. Strunk served Quakertown and the surrounding area until his death in 1987, when his son C. Richard Strunk took over the daily operations of the funeral home. In 1992, Michael B. Schmauder joined the staff of the funeral home as a licensed funeral director. After the retirement of the late C. Richard Strunk in 1994, Mr. Schmauder purchased the funeral home, now known as C.R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., and operated the firm with passion and dedication for nearly thirty years.
Today, that tradition is carried forward by a dedicated leadership team that blends experience with thoughtful, modern perspective. On July 14, 2023, ownership transitioned to Andrew J. Stout, who serves as President and Funeral Director, with Michael remaining on staff as Supervisor and Funeral Director. Andy’s path to funeral service reflects both deep professional preparation and a lifelong connection to the industry.
The funeral home looks forward to continuing to serve the families of Quakertown, as well as the Upper Bucks, Lehigh Valley, and surrounding regions, as the traditions of the funeral industry are redefined.
