Obituary

Richard Barry Matt, 83, of Sellersville formerly of Quakertown died May 20, 2022 in Suburban Community Hospital, Norristown. He was the husband of Suzanne H. (Adamovicz) Matt. They were married 58 years last December. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Germaine & Anna (Duffy) Matt. He was a Research Chemist for Rohm & Haas retiring after 35 years of service. While employed he developed 2 U.S. Patents for the company. Richard was a member of the Milford Township Lions Club where he was the former president. He was also a member of the Milford Twsp. Fish & Game Forestry. He served in the U.S. Navy during peacetime. In addition to his wife he is survived by a son Glenn M. Matt (Kathryn) of Collegeville; and a daughter Jacqueline A. Reed (Tuck) of Richmond, VA; two sisters Barbara Ann Kendall of CA; and Suzanne M. Young (Jonathan) of Atlanta, GA. Four grandchildren Andrew, Lauren, Ethan, & Kate. There will be no services. Arrangements are in the care of the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) Quakertown.
