William C. Manning

William C. “Bill” Manning, 65, of Quakertown, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Lehigh Valley’s Cedar Crest Campus.

Born on August 29, 1960, he was the son of Louise (Carwithen) Manning and the late William J. Manning.

A graduate of Abington Senior High School, he went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Temple University.

Following his graduation, William began his forty-year career as an accounting manager with Reed Technology and Information Services.

Outside of work, he found joy in watching baseball (particularly the Phillies), board and card games, trivia, dining at restaurants, Fantasy Football and Baseball, as well as music—especially the Beatles and Jimmy Buffet.

William will be lovingly remembered by his wife of eighteen years: Joan Da Shiell, to whom he wed on September 22, 2007, following a courtship that began in 2001; mother: Louise Manning; god-daughter: Melissa “Missy” Sampson; mother-in-law: Mary Ann Zaccaria; father-in-law: Ronald Da Shiell; three cats: Marbles, Sherlock, and Jax; and his beloved Macaw, for whom he has cared for thirty years: Maxie.

Services will be announced at a later date.

Arrangements will be in the care of the C.R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Quakertown.
