William A. "Bill" Heichel, 80, of Telford, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Friday, April 24, 2026, at St. Luke's Hospice House in Bethlehem.
Born on November 19, 1945, in Clearfield, PA, he was a son of the late Oliver Leroy and Gladys (Crowell) Heichel.
Following his formal education, he enlisted in the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War before receiving his Honorable Discharge, and returning home. Once stateside, he joined the workforce. Bill spent twenty-seven years in maintenance at Avery Dennison in Quakertown.
Outside of work, he was a homebody: he loved to spend time at his home, and often surrounded himself with his family. He also found joy in working on cars and trucks (he frequently took care of cars for family members), watching Western movies, listening to Country music, and tinkering with various items.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters: Barbara Heichel and Theda Hockenberry; and brother-in-law: John Daub.
Bill will be lovingly remembered by his wife of fifty-five years: Janice (Sklodowski) Heichel; son: Troy Heichel (Virginia); daughter: Susan Heichel (Ryan); brothers: Gerald Heichel (Regina) and Dough Heichel (Jackie); sister: Beverly Daub; grandchildren: Jasmin (Jeff), Brandon, and Sarah; great-grandchildren: Jaxon, Jonah, Jayce, and Jacob; and nieces and nephews.
A private service--with Military Honors--will be held at Washington Crossing Cemetery.
Arrangements are in the care of the C.R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Quakertown.
