William A. Harr, 92, of Quakertown, passed away at home on Friday, July 17, 2026, surrounded by family.

Born on September 15, 1933, in Quakertown, he was a son of the late Arthur C. and Theresa (Sine) Harr.

A graduate of Quakertown High School’s Class of 1952, for which he served as treasurer, Bill enlisted in the United States Army. He was stationed in Germany as a radio operator.

Following his Honorable Discharge in 1956, he returned home to continue working at his family’s store, Sine’s 5 & 10. Bill took ownership of Sine’s in 1974 and continued in his role as owner/operator until his retirement in 2025.

While Sine’s accounted for most of Bill’s attention, he did find time for hobbies, which included the collecting of stamps, postcards, and Quakertown memorabilia. He was also very fond of tending to his large yard.

Bill was a member of the North Penn Stamp Club, the Lehigh Consistory, the Quakertown Masonic Lodge where he was a 33rd degree Mason, and was a long-time member of the former St. John’s Lutheran Church on 10th Street, where he previously served on church council.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother: Robert Harr.

Bill will be lovingly remembered by his wife of seventy-two years: R. Marlene (Hilumer) Harr, to whom he wed on April 25, 1954; son: William Harr, Jr. (Gail); daughter: Linda Fox (James); sister: Elizabeth Heimbach; grandchildren: Joel Harr (Jaime), Josh Henderson, and Kelly Harr (Scott); and great-grandchildren: Jane Harr, Abigail Guerrero, Jonas Harr, and Danielle Guerrero.

A visitation will be held at the C.R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., on Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm, with a Masonic service during that time.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in Bill's memory, to West End Fire Company, 1319 Park Avenue, Quakertown, and/or Quakertown Fire Co. #1, 505 West Broad Street, Quakertown.
