Sharon R. Knode

Sharon R. Knode, 67, of Quakertown, passed away unexpected at her home on August 25, 2026.

Born on January 5, 1959, in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Charles S. and Marian (Breiner) Kemmerer.

A graduate of Quakertown Community High School’s Class of 1976, she went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Accounting for the University of New Hampshire.

Sharon worked for several years as an accountant with Moyer Lumber in Bethlehem, then moved to a similar position with Soloman-Beschler-Campbell-Thomas, LLC., from which she recently retired.

Outside of work, she found joy in crafting, sewing, creating wreaths and floral arrangements, and listening to music from Elton John and Janis Joplin. In her younger years, she took great pleasure in dancing at the Discos. Most recently, she loved spending time with, and reading to, her grandson.

She was actively involved with the Multiple Sclerosis Blog and Support Group.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of thirty-four years: Barry J. Knode, who passed away in 2016; and her brother: Byron Kemmerer.

Sharon will be lovingly remembered by her daughter: Rachael Brookins (Donald G.); grandson: Elliot Brookins; sisters: Ella Rios, Rose Hoke, April Kemmerer; and Christine McMasters; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be private.

Arrangements are in the care of the C.R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Quakertown.
