Sharon A. Bachman, 75, of Quakertown, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on Sunday, April 5, 2026.

Born on October 31, 1950, in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Coleman and Emma (Talaber) Steirer.

A graduate of Palisades High School, she completed a few college courses before deciding to enter the workforce. She spent twenty years as a Document Technician in Air Product’s Engineering Department. Following her retirement, she began working as a Case Worker with the Salvation Army—a position she enjoyed for twenty-five years demonstrating her caring and giving nature.

She was a long-time member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Quakertown and served on the ministerium.

Sharon found great joy in family gatherings: picnics, pool parties, and attending her nieces’ and nephews’ sporting events. She was also an avid cat lover and an amateur wood worker.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son: Philip Bachman; her grandson: Tobias Bachman Granlund; and her brother-in-law: Herbert Mackey.

Sharon will be lovingly remembered by her husband of thirty-two years: David Kresge, Sr.; daughter: Bethany Bachman (Staci Ziobert); step-son: David Kresge, Jr.; sister: Joan Mackey; daughter-in-law: Helen Magnuson Granlund; and nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 560 South Main Street, Quakertown, on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 10:00am until the time of the memorial service—in church—at 11:00am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made—in Sharon’s memory—to Emmanuel Episcopal Church, via the above address, or the Salvation Army.

Arrangements are in the care of the C.R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc.
