Philip Fermier, 80, of Reading, PA, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Reading Hospital.
Born on April 28, 1945, in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Philip C. and Betty (Matthews) Fermier, Jr.
A graduate of Methacton High School, in Collegeville, he entered the United States Navy in 1964 through 1968, serving as a radio operator on the USS Parsons and the USS McCormic on three tours of duty to the South China Sea. Following his honorable discharge from the military, Phil began a lengthy career as an insurance agent.
Outside of work, he took pleasure in reading—especially books pertaining to history—bicycling, and listening to smooth Jazz music.
Philip will be lovingly remembered by two brothers: David (Sylvia)and Alan (Connie) Fermier; and nieces and nephews: Alison, Thomas, Andrew, David Jr., Adam, Jason, and Jamon.
Services will be private.
Interment will take place in Wentz’s United Church of Christ in Worchester Township.
Arrangements are in the care of the C.R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Quakertown.
