Pauline Anna (Bassarik) Wietecha , 96, of Quakertown, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025, at Coastal Point Memory Care in Shallotte, North Carolina.

Born on April 5, 1929, in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Joseph J. and Pauline (Petras) Bassarik. The youngest of eight children, her siblings affectionately called her "Babe.”

A graduate of Liberty High School, in Bethlehem, she went on to work for the Bethlehem City Water Department for about ten years before moving to Sellersville, PA. She then worked at Mennonite Nursing Home (off of 309) in Sellersville.

Pauline and Stanley were members of St Isidore’s Catholic Church in Quakertown, PA.

In 2015, Pauline moved to Wilmington, NC, to live with her son, Michael, and daughter-in-law, Rebecca, and her grandchildren, Jennifer and Nathan.

She was a woman of great energy and determination and loved her judge shows, a good Hallmark romance, sitting outside in the sunshine watching the woods for birds and deer, and fresh baked chocolate chip cookies.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of fifty-four years: Stanley T. Wietecha, who passed away in 2009; brothers: Andrew, Joe, Charles, Paul, and Mike; and sisters: Catherine and Mary.

Pauline will be lovingly remembered by her three sons: Stephen (Ericka), Vincent (Oanh), and Michael (Rebecca); six grandchildren: Mary Anne, Matthew, Joseph, Joan, Jennifer, and Nathan; and three great-grandchildren: Lora Beth, Quinn, and Delaney; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held at St. Isidore’s Catholic Church, 2545 West Pumping Station Road, Quakertown, on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 9:00am until the time of Mass of Christian Burial—in church—at 10:00am.

Interment will follow in Holy Saviour Cemetery, 2575 Linden Street, Bethlehem.

Arrangements are in the care of the C.R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Quakertown.
