Mary Lou Platt passed away peacefully at home, in Quakertown, on Thursday, March 19, 2026. She was 92 years old.
She is survived by her sister: Janice Geiger; her children: Carol Collins (Steve), Eric Platt (Linda), Tom Platt (Mary), Chris Carroll (Jim); grandchildren: Brett Collins (Melissa), Sean Collins (Christi), Ryan Collins (Jennifer), Kyle Platt, Christine Platt, Conner Platt, Sarah Vamvakas (Pat), John Platt, Nikki Ryan (Shawn), and Kelsey Carroll; and great-grandchildren: Kyla, Brielle, Makenna, Madelynn, Morgan, Jack, Luke, Grant, Teagan Collins, and Alek Vamvakas.
Preceding her in death is Robert Platt.
Mary Lou grew up in Glenside, PA, where she developed her love for baseball and swimming. She loved the Phillies, making memories at Ocean City New Jersey, loved to sing, and brought so much joy to everyone who knew her. She was a true spitfire—always full of life, humor, and just the right amount of feisty spark that made her unforgettable. We will miss her more than words can say, but her memory will always be a song in our hearts . . . and she will “Always be on our minds.”
The family would like to thank St. Luke’s Hospice for their compassion and care.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2026, from 12:00 noon until 3:00pm at The Gathering Place, 351 West Broad Street, Quakertown, PA 18951. If you have any Phillies attire, we’d love for you to wear it in her honor.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make donations to Flying Fur Animal Rescue.
Arrangements are in the care of the C.R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Quakertown.
