John “Jack” Petrick, 87, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on November 30, 1938, in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, John was a lifelong member of the community he cherished. He graduated from Quakertown High School and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as a firefighter. Following his service, he built a long career in the electronics industry.

John will be remembered most for his kind heart, gentle patience, and unwavering devotion to his family. An avid fisherman, he found great joy in sharing his love of the sport with his nieces and nephews—and later their children—teaching them not just how to fish, but how to appreciate quiet moments and time together. His patience and warmth made those experiences unforgettable for all who joined him.

A man of deep faith, John was a devoted parishioner of St. Isidore’s Church in Quakertown, where he actively supported parish life and participated in many church activities. He was also a proud member of the Knights of Columbus.

John was a loving and dedicated uncle and granduncle. He brought laughter to family gatherings with his signature corny jokes and left a lasting impression on all who knew him. In recent years, he moved to Maris Grove Senior Living in Glen Mills to be closer to family, where he continued to share his warmth and humor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Rosa Petrick, and his brother, Ron Petrick.

John is survived by his sister, Catherine Young; his brother, Paul Petrick (Judy); his nieces, Elizabeth Breece and Claire Young-Anderson (Tom); his nephews, Andrew Young (Karen), James Young, Michael Petrick (Tammy), and Stephen Petrick; and his fourteen beloved grandnieces and grandnephews, all of whom will miss him dearly.

A viewing will be held at St. Isidore's Catholic Church 2545 West Pumping Station Road, Quakertown, on Monday, May 11, 2026, from 10:00am until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial--in church--at 11:00am.

Interment will follow in St. Isidore's Parish Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's memory to the Bucks County Pro-Life Coalition, P.O. Box 7068, Penndel, PA 19047, or to the Wounded Warrior Project.

John life was a quiet testament to love, faith, and family—his legacy lives on in the many lives he touched.
