It is with heavy hearts to announce Gerald Francis McGlinchey passed away peacefully in his beloved home in Revere, PA on Thursday, April 30, 2026. He was 79. He was born in Abington, PA on June 20, 1946, son of John F. McGlinchey Sr and Anita M. (Bliss) McGlinchey. He graduated from Hatboro Horsham High School, class of 1964.

He found his greatest joy in the simple pleasures of life by casting a line on quiet mornings, hunting in the crisp air, and spending long days on the water. He loved cruising lakes or venturing out onto the open ocean in his boat, “Just Clownin’ Around.” He felt most at peace under the sun and with the people he loved nearby. He had a love for classic cars, especially his cherished Corvette. He could often be found at car shows sharing stories and admiring craftsmanship.

Jerry was the proud owner and chef of McGlinchey’s Restaurant in Doylestown, formerly in Perkasie, for over 25 years, where he poured his heart into every dish he created. His passion for cooking was his way of bringing people together. His kitchen was always full, not just with incredible meals, but with laughter and great times. At home, he was the ultimate host, famous for his lively Christmas gatherings and summer pool parties, where everyone was welcomed like family.

Jerry was survived by his two siblings, Kitty Toporowski and Michael McGlinchey, his four children, Gerald McGlinchey Jr, Michelle McGlinchey Wynn (Richard), Justyn McGlinchey, and Aubrey McGlinchey, and his four grandchildren, Kyle Cronin, Melanie Wynn, Hailey Wynn, and Madison Wynn. He was preceded in death by his parents John F. McGlinchey Sr and Anita M. McGlinchey, his brother John McGlinchey Jr, and nieces Linda McGlinchey Hughes and Nanette Toporowski.

His legacy will live on through our unforgettable memories shared with him, his lessons of hard work, dedication, and to never stop having fun and doing the things you love. He will be deeply missed, forever loved and remembered by those lucky enough to have known him.

A public viewing will be held at the C.R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 821 West Broad Street, Quakertown, on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.
