Frank W. Brown, Sr.

Frank W. “Hot Rod” Brown, Sr., 70, of Quakertown, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at Genesis Healthcare in Pennsburg.

Born on December 30, 1955, he was the son of the late Edward H. Brown and Amy Shields. Frank graduated from Hatboro Horsham High School in 1974. He was a proud truck driver for all his working years. He had a larger-than-life personality and left his mark on all who knew him. He loved going to car shows, truck shows, making people laugh, and apparently Ice Cream! He was 100% one of a kind and will be missed by all.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 34 years: Debora (Shelmire) Brown; brothers: Edward Brown and William Emmell III; stepmother: Lillian Brown; stepbrothers: David Husk and Frederick Husk; stepsister Denise Folks.

Frank will be lovingly remembered by his sons: Frank W. Brown, Jr.(Vanessa) and Clarence F. Shelmire, III (Vanessa); daughters: Shannan Yakamavage (Jude) and Dawnn Cooper (Gary); grandchildren: Reed, Cole, Jude, Jr., Alice, Laura, Lucy, Alivia, Preston, Brodie and Rhys; one great-granddaughter: Grace; brother: Al Brown; sisters: Betty Jasinski and Peggy Shields; sisters in law: Christine Brown, Cathy Emmell, and Sharon Fisher; brother in law: Mark Shelmire (Krystina); Bruce Husk; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, friends and his beloved dog: Dozer.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 11:30 AM at Morning Star Fellowship – Pennsburg Campus, 2788 Geryville Pike, Pennsburg, PA 18073. Visitation will be held prior at 10:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Frank’s name to Trumbauersville Lions Club and Last Chance Ranch.
