Eileen Bolish, 72 of Haycock passed away Friday, May15, 2026 at Lehigh Valley Hospital--Muhlenberg. She was the wife of Tim Bolish.
Born March 4,1974 in Bethlehem and raised in Quake-ache, near Weatherly. She was the daughter of the late Patrick and Emma Tee. She raised her family in Haycock but lived in rehabilitation facilities for the last twenty-one years, following a car accident.
She graduated from Lehigh Community College and Kutztown University with a degree in Social Work and a minor in Art. She was employed by Carbon County Social Services until she married. Then she interviewed and wrote up psychiatric histories for intake patients at Grandview Hospital.
Eileen loved people and had many friends. She loved to sing, play guitar, and perform at local venues prior to her marriage. She was a gifted artist with acrylics and watercolor. She was happiest sitting in a comfy chair, glasses on, reading an excellent book. She wrote poems, many about dealing with children diagnosed with cancer at the same time. as well as stories about her life growing up. She loved gardening and working in her flower beds. Her dog, Helen, was a faithful companion.
Eileen and Tim started a chapter of Compassionate Friends, an international support group for families who have lost a child, after Kelly’s death.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Tim, and her two children: Kelly and Patrick.
She is survived by two sisters: Sally (John) of Red Hill and May Jane (Carl) of East Stroudsburg. She was loved by nieces: Victoria, Danielle, Faith, and Nephews James (Rosanna) and William.
A memorial service will be held, at a future date, at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital for family and close friends.
Interment will be in St. Isidore’s Parish Cemetery, Quakertown.
