E. George Mengelson

E. George Mengelson, 88, of Telford, formerly of Quakertown died April 20, 2016 at Lutheran Community at Telford. Born in Latvia, he was the son of the late William & Mary (Bertlin) Mengelson. He completed a 2 year V.A. engineering course and then worked as a structural steel designer for FMC Corporation formerly of Colmar for 30 years, retiring in 1983. Prior to that he was a draftsman at the former Bethlehem Fabricators. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Quakertown. He served in the Merchant Marines and the U.S. Army in Germany following World War II. He is survived by a cousin Lydia Bernhardt of Whiting, NJ, and three nephews.
