Derek M. Stout

Derek M. Stout, 54, of Richlandtown, passed away unexpectedly, at home, on Saturday, July 18, 2026.

Born on October 9, 1971, he was a son of Kenneth and Brenda (Wieand) Stout.

A graduate of Quakertown High School’s Class of 1990, he went on to join the workforce. He worked for Keystone Findings in Telford, then moved into construction with Kings. Derek most recently worked for Fabric Development performing Creel set-up.

Outside of work, he found joy in fishing, ice skating, rock climbing, rubber rafting, bicycling, and small item assembly and repair.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather: Carl Wieand; and his paternal grandparents: William and Betty Stout.

Derek will be lovingly remembered by his parents: Kenneth and Brenda Stout; brother: Troy Stout (Marci); sister: Amber O’Leary (James); nieces and nephews: Elisabeth Stout, Kyran, Padraig, and Nora O’Leary; as well as maternal grandmother: Thelma Wieand; aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A private memorial service/day of remembrance will announced at a later date.

Arrangements are in the care of the C.R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Quakertown.
