Dean R. Stover, 77, of Coopersburg, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, surrounded by his family.
Born on October 27, 1948, in Quakertown, he was a son of the late Earl and Arlene (Wambold) Stover.
A graduate of Quakertown High School’s Class of 1967, Dean then completed a tool and die making apprenticeship and went on to work for various companies. He spent the majority of his career with Insaco and Pittman as a tool and die maker.
He was a longtime member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Blue Church in Coopersburg.
Outside of work, Dean spent many years volunteering for Betty Lou’s Food Pantry. His big, red truck became a symbol of food delivery.
In his free time, he found joy in skiing, playing tennis, golfing, gardening, swimming, camping, spending time at the beach, spending time with his family, sitting on the back patio and enjoying a cigar with his son, and listening to Oldies. Dean was also an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Stover; sister-in-law, Patricia (Deininger) Stover; and brothers-in-law Leonard Wagner and James Bergey.
Dean will be lovingly remembered and missed by his wife of fifty-two years, Deborah (Koehler) Stover; daughter, Danielle Arlene Stover Zadnik (Justin); son, Andrew Dean Stover (Courtney); sisters, Earlene Wagner, Jeanette Miller (Ronald), and Nancy Bergey; grandchildren, Veronica, Arya, and Quinn; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Blue Church, 5900 Applebutter Hill Road, Coopersburg, on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 noon (church sanctuary). A luncheon will follow the service in fellowship hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Betty Lou’s Pantry, PO Box 85, Coopersburg, Pa. 18036 , or St Paul’s Lutheran (Blue) Church, 5900 Applebutter Rd., Coopersburg, Pa 18036.
