Carol A. Gunn, 82, of Quakertown, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at St. Luke’s Grandview Campus in Sellersville.
Born on July 22, 1943, in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Esther (Benson) Goodz.
A graduate of Frankfurt High School, Carol found fulfillment as a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Isidore’s Catholic Church, Quakertown.
In her free time, she found joy in reading on her Kindle, interior decorating, bargain shopping, bowling, visiting the shore, spending time with friends and family. She particularly enjoyed being around children and nurturing them: she spent much of her time attending her grandchildren’s’ events. She previously served as an aide at the Little Red Caboose Nursery.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son: Edward Gunn; and her sister: Sharon Santiago.
Carol will be lovingly remembered by her husband of over sixty years: Robert Gunn; son: Joseph Gunn (Michele); daughter: Michelle Gunn (Ken); brother: Joseph Miller (Conchetta); sisters: Linda Craig and Virginia Matthews (Joseph); nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held at the C.R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 821 West Broad Street, Quakertown, on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 6:00-8:00pm. A committal service will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 1:00pm at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940. For those attending the committal service, please arrive to the cemetery no later than 12:50pm.
