Beulah A. Calabrette, 103, of Richlandtown, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 17, 2025.
Born on July 19, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Mabel (Heintzelman) Trumbower, wife of the late Pasquale Calabrette, and mother of the late Raymond H. Nice, wife Patricia.
Beulah is survived by her daughters: Rosemarie Haas and her husband Harold, along with their children Sherry, Howie, and Laura; and Patricia Golla, with her children Chris and Jessica. She also leaves behind five great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren who will forever cherish her memory. She was predeceased by her siblings Henry Charles Trumbower, Anna Crouthamel, and Mary S. Frey.
Throughout her remarkable 103 years, Beulah embodied the true spirit of selfless devotion. She was the heart and center of her family, faithfully bringing everyone together on Sundays with an abundance of food and warm companionship. Her kitchen table was a gathering place where no one ever left hungry—or without having sampled her legendary homemade pasta, meatballs, shoofly pie, lemon meringue pie, or pizzelles.
A woman of extraordinary work ethic and dedication, Beulah spent her youth assisting her parents with the family farm and their sexton duties at Trinity Great Swamp UCC Church. She worked as a sewing machine operator in various clothing factories for over 44 years, and devotedly supported her husband's business by preparing lunch daily for all his workers in their home or tending to the large garden. Even while caring for her husband, whom she affectionately called "Boss", Beulah's commitment to those around her never wavered.
When she wasn't in the kitchen cooking, canning, or baking, Beulah could be found crocheting intricate doilies and baby blankets, working on word searches, or enjoying an occasional trip to the casino to play the slot machines.
Beulah had a special love for angels, and those who knew her best would say she was an angel herself—placed in our lives to demonstrate the true meaning of sacrifice, giving, and unconditional care for others.
Her legacy of love, hard work, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
