Barbara J. Dewitt, 72, of Richland Township, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, December 25, 2025.

Born on February 24, 1953, in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Shirley M. (Schive) Bittenbender.

A graduate of Salisbury High School’s Class of 1971, she went on to enter the workforce before becoming a homemaker.

She found joy in playing the lottery, shopping, cats, baking, knitting, crocheting, and traveling to Jamaica. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her grandchildren.

Barbara was a member of the Eastern Star and the past president of the Cedarettes.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister: Judy Sterner.

Barbara will be lovingly remembered by her husband of thirty-eight years: Keith “Chip” Dewitt, Sr., to whom she wed on August 29, 1987; sons: Barry Brown (Rebecca) and Keith Dewitt, Jr. (Jenna); daughters: Krista Bose (Robert), Kelly Marzullo (Antonino), and Amanda Grim (Lawrence); brother: Robert Bittenbender, Jr. (Su); sister: Lois Douglass; grandchildren: Devin Brown (Sarah Boring), Nathaniel Brown, Emily Bose, Kendell Dewitt, Rowan Brown, Carina Marzullo, Allison Dewitt, Nico Marzullo, Noah Bose, Kylie Bose, Hadley Grim, Leland Grim, and Alessio Marzullo. She is also survived by her adopted mother: Arlene Baringer; and her adopted son: Antonio (Marianne).

A visitation will be held at the C.R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 821 West Broad Street, Quakertown, on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 10:00am until the time of the memorial service—in the funeral home—at 11:00am.

Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
