Anita R. Ammon, 84, of Richland Township, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, surrounded by family in her home.

Born on June 17, 1942, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Helen J. (Miller) Huntington.

A graduate of Roxborough High School’s Class of 1960, Anita became a skilled and passionate homemaker.

She was a long-time volunteer with the Meals on Wheels program.

She found joy in crafting, collecting bears, completing Seek and Find books, and being around animals. Above all, though, she cherished her time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by an infant son: John G. Spencer, III; as well as her husband of twenty years: Frederick J. Ammon, who passed away in 2007.

Anita will be lovingly remembered by her children: Scott Spencer (Megan), James O. Spencer, Karen Spencer (Chip), and Brian Spencer (Amy); grandchildren: John Spencer (Stacey), Holly Koletas (Nicholas), Mary Fogarty (Jon), Anita Cooney (Andrew), Grace Spencer, Frederick Spencer, and Charlotte Spencer; and great-grandchildren: Jax, J.J., Josephine, and Hunter.

A visitation will be held at the C.R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 821 West Broad Street, Quakertown, on Monday, July 13, 2026, from 10:00am until the time of the memorial service—in the funeral home—at 11:00am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in Anita’s memory, to Last Chance Ranch, 10 Beck Road, Quakertown, PA 18951.
