Betty B. Schmitt, 87, of Quakertown formerly of Philadelphia died April 21, 2011 in her home. She was the wife of the late John T. "Jack" Schmitt. Born in Philadelphia daughter of the late Harry & Eleanor (Graves) Bradford. She was a graduate of Germantown High School and continued her education at the Palmer Business School in Philadelphia. Earlier in life she was employed by the YMCA in Philadelphia where she met her late husband. She was also a long-time aide at the Ellwood Elementary School in Oak Lane. Betty enjoyed gardening and was an exceptional cook and baker known for her cookies. Betty was a member of Greene St. Friends Meeting in Philadelphia. Betty was full of love especially for her family whom loved her back. She was the beloved mother of Judith Yeager and her husband Joseph, John and his wife Sue, Jeffrey and his wife Barbara, Stephen and his wife Francine, Janet Davis and her husband Peter, and Holly Schmitt and her husband John Snyder. She was known as Mimi to her 15 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchilden. Also survived by a daughter in law Carol and a sister in law Jean. She was predeceased by a son Barry a brother Spencer and a grandson Joseph. By her wishes private services will be held by the family. The C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc.
