Santa G. Martello, 86, of Quakertown formerly of West Philadelphia died September 5, 2019 in her home. She was the wife of Giovanni Martello. They were married 67 years in February. Born in Gasperina, Catanzaro, Italy she was the daughter of the late Salvatore & Grazia (Lombardo) Riillo. She was a seamstress for D’Arof Taylor Shop in North Philadelphia before retiring. Santa enjoyed crocheting blankets and baby clothing, cooking and making her own sauce and sausages. She had a strong faith with devotion to St. Rita & the Blessed Mother. She also prayed the rosary daily. She was a member of St. Isidore’s Catholic Church in Quakertown and a former member of St. Donato’s in West Philadelphia. She also enjoyed her loving family. In addition to her husband she is survived by her three children, Sam Martello (Judy) of Quakertown, Theresa Martello of Culver City, CA and Tony Martello (Melissa) of Douglassville. 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother Vincenzo Riillo. A Mass will be celebrated on Monday, September 9, 2019 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Isidore’s Catholic Church 2545 W. Pumping Station Rd.
