They celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on May 12, 2018. Born in Allentown, PA he was the son of the late Kathryn Anna (Gross) Schmauder and the grandson of the late Edward R. & Emma M. (Jennings) Anthony. At a young age after the death of his mother and grandfather he was taken in and raised by the loving family of the late Elwood F. Stocker, Sr. & Cynthia L. After his retirement he was a funeral attendant for his son’s business C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. in Quakertown and Ruggiero Funeral Home, Inc. in Pen Argyl. He was a former member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Wind Gap, Pa. In addition to his stubbornness he loved to b!+*h and complain but always with a smile on his face and a warm heart. Other than enjoying a “cold one” once in a while his most enjoyment in life was watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren growing up. From helping raise his oldest, following kart racing and the talented welding career of his next oldest, field hockey, academic excellence and marriage of his only granddaughter, and sports, academic achievements, and military future of his twin grandsons. His enjoyment and love was renewed by his two great granddaughters. In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter Lynne M. Schmauder, and a son Michael B. Schmauder and his wife Judy. Grandchildren Ryan J. Schmauder, Anthony D. Sabia, Kristen L. McGaughran and her husband James, Mason S. Schmauder, and Shane M. Schmauder.
