Samuel A. Roth, 74, of Quakertown died February 10, 2011 in Grand View Hospital, Sellersville. He was the husband of the late Eleanor Mae (Breiner) Roth. Born in Quakertown he was the son of the late Clayton & Helen (Myers) Roth. He was a hatchery foreman for Moyers Chicks in Quakertown before retiring. Prior to that he owned and operated the former Roth's Market in Lansdale. He enjoyed woodworking and crafts and was a frequent vendor at local craft shows. He supported Care and Share Thrift Shop in Souderton. Samuel was an active and committed member of West Swamp Mennonite Church in Quakertown. He is survived by his children and grandchildren, daughter Diane Kistler and husband David of Watertown, NY and their children Jonathan and Amanda, son Thomas and wife Sharon of Middletown, DE and their children Brandi Bowers and husband Mark, Christopher, and Nathan, daughter Judith Scheetz and husband Timothy of Quakertown and their children Paul, Aaron, Isaac, and KatieAnne, son Timothy and wife Monika of Arlee, MT, and son Matthew and wife Jennifer of Richlandtown and their children Allison, Meagan, and Mason. Three brothers Clarence of Quakertown, Arthur of Fountainville, and Kenneth and wife Vicky of Allentown, three sisters Ruth Pringle of Levittown, Emma Richards of Quakertown and Betty Warnke and husband Jake of Steinsburg. He was predeceased by two brothers Robert and Clayton, Jr. Services will be held on Sunday, February 13, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at West Swamp Mennonite Church 2501 Allentown Rd., Quakertown. Call 1:00-2:00 P.M. in the church. The C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) Quakertown is in charge of the arrangements.
