Laura Smakula, 92, of Hilltown Twp, died January 31, 2011 in St. Luke's Quakertown Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Michael & Sophia (Kotko) Smakula. She was a sewing machine operator for the former Royal Pants. Laura was a member of St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church in Bethlehem. She is survived by three sisters Mary Walters, Theresa Nalepa, Julia Detweiler and her husband Lester. Two brothers Wasley Smakula and his wife Margaret and Harold Smakula. Several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Florence and a brother John M. Funeral service will be held on February 3 at 10:30 A.M. in St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church 980 Bridle Path Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18017. Call 9:30-10:30 A.M. in the church. The C. R.
